Girls Night Out: Fun in Minneapolis
One thing I love about my friend group is that we make celebrating each other a priority. We pick a date, plan an adventure, and end up at a fun new restaurant we've been dying to try.
If you're looking for fun things to do in Minneapolis with your girlfriends, I've rounded up some of our favorite experiences that are totally worth the hype.
Salt cave, red light sauna, and a hot tub: A night out with the girls is the best medicine. How do you explain this feeling to a boy Our birthday girl played a game of This or That for the evening ahead and we couldn’t have planned it better ourselves. We had the best spa experience at @justformespa in Stillwater with red light therapy, sauna, salt room, hot tub, cold shower, and mineral pool. So much fun to do with the girls! Then we headed to the North Loop for sushi at @cobblempls. Apps, drinks and sushi were delicious! So much fun celebrating!
Self-guided scavenger hunt downtown: Went out to celebrate some birthdays with the girls doing a fun little scavenger hunt downtown, then closed the night with some DELICIOUS Mexican food and margs at @lamadremn.
Made custom hats in Stillwater: We love to find fun things to do together for girls’ night out. I stumbled upon this unique craft bar workshop that had a little of everything to choose from! Grab your girls (and even your kids) and head to @arworkshopstillwatermn in downtown Stillwater for a super fun DIY activity! Followed by dinner at @matchstickbar in Hotel Crosby and a walk down the bridge, it was once again a fabulous night out with the girls!
Cold plunge and barrel sauna: I’ve said it a million times, but I have the best friends. Our adventures are second-to-none. We booked a private barrel sauna at @saunacamps in Excelsior on what seems to be the coldest day of winter so far. Windchill was -9°!!! We were nuts. This was the best day everrrr.
Never did I imagine doing a cold plunge - and then repeating it 5 times over! That water was intense. Some people were hanging out, chillin in literal ice cubes for a long time 💀 My legs gave out on me several times after getting out with just a quick dip! So grateful for the super hot sauna to quickly warm up in after. I said it was sorta was like childbirth: it’s awful while you’re in pain but the second it’s over, you think you can do it again. So you do, and then think the same thing over again.
You absolutely should book a day here with your friends this winter! More about the experience and tips for you when you go on the blog!
Rented scooters around the North Loop: We celebrated a birthday at @stpaulbrewing with dynamite food on BINGO night. Absolute blast! That place is so uniquely gorgeous. Then we cruised St.Paul - probably a little too late at night - on scooters. A tradition we’ll never stop. So much fun!! I highly recommend duplicating a night out just like this one.
Kayaking in Taylors Falls: Amp up your summer adventures with renting kayaks in Taylors Falls and float down the St. Croix with your besties. Rain or shine, you’re guaranteed to make memories for a lifetime. The scenery down the river was so captivating and peaceful. You might even be so lucky to see a bald eagle or two. We paddled for a few hours - with a few breaks letting the current with whisk us along, taking our time and enjoying every minute together. Book your next day trip with friends or family ASAP.
Sip-and-Bloom at a brewery: Sign me up for all the @sipnbloom! We had so much fun learning flower care tips and tricks while putting together beautiful little bouquets. David sets up his shop in breweries all around the Twin Cities, so indulging in great food and some craft beverages is a must while you’re there. Grab your besties and book your next favorite girls night out yet!
Tacos & Timberwolves: We celebrated my beautiful sister @tiffany.simon326 with birria tacos and a marg flight at @iconosgastrocantina. Such a fun place and the food was so good! Definitely make your way over there! We kept the festivities going with pulling out a W at the @timberwolves game. Don’t think we’ll beat a weeknight out like this for a while!
Rollerblade at the US Bank Stadium: Winter is long! Grab your girlfriends and head downtown to have the best night of your lives! Rollerblading at the @usbankstadium was such a blast. They have open skate every Tuesday and Thursday now just through January. We used to do this as a kid when it was the Metrodome so it brought back lots of fun memories! And if you’ve never been to @billysushi_minneapolis, I highly recommend you make reservations ASAP. Every bite was rave-worthy. A perfect night to break up the cold and celebrate friendship! My cup runneth over.
Limo took us to several wineries across the border into WI: Ba-bye 30s! Hello new chapter! A surprise limo pulled up the driveway and brought us around a several wineries in WI. Last stop was a farm and pizza stand. So much fun!
