What you'll need:
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
3–4 cinnamon sticks
6–8 whole cloves

How to make it:
In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
