Italian Sub Sliders
These Italian Sliders are everything I love in an easy entertaining recipe: simple ingredients, big flavors. Soft Hawaiian rolls are layered with ham, turkey, salami, melty provolone, and tangy banana peppers, then brushed with a savory garlic-herb butter that bakes into the tops. A quick pesto–red wine vinegar spread adds that classic Italian-sub zip without any extra work. They feed a crowd whether you’re serving them for game day, holidays, or an easy weeknight dinner. This is one of those recipes you’ll want to make again and again.
What you'll need:
1 (12-count or 24-count) package Hawaiian rolls
8 oz sliced deli ham
8 oz sliced turkey
8 oz sliced salami
6–8 slices provolone
½ cup jarred banana peppers (drained)
¼ cup jarred roasted red peppers, sliced (optional)
Spread:
3 Tbsp mayo
1 Tbsp pesto
2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
Buttery Topping:
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan
Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
How to make it:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Slice the rolls horizontally and place the bottom layer in a baking dish.
Mix together mayo, pesto, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
Spread the mixture on the bottom rolls. Add ham → turkey → salami → provolone.
Scatter banana peppers and roasted red peppers on top.
Add the top rolls. Mix the melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Brush all over.
Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes, then uncover and bake 5–7 minutes until golden and melty.
Let rest 5 minutes, slice, and pull apart.
