Puppy Chow Rice Krispie Treats
If you grew up loving those nostalgic church-basement dessert tables, these bars will take you right back. Rich melted chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and gooey marshmallows come together in the easiest no-bake treat that feels a little retro in the best way.
They set up perfectly in the fridge, slice into soft, fudge-like bites, and get finished with a generous dusting of powdered sugar for that classic snowy look. No oven, no fuss — just sweet, simple comfort that disappears fast.
What you'll need:
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
10 oz bag marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
~1 cup powdered sugar
How to make it:
Over medium heat, melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together, stirring until smooth.
Add the marshmallows and vanilla, stirring continuously until completely melted and fully combined.
Grease then line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan and gently press it out evenly to the edges.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until set.
Flip the bars out, or lift out using the parchment paper and place on a cutting board. Cut into bite-sized cubes.
Place powdered sugar in a large zip-top bag and toss a few cubes at a time until fully coated.
Store on the counter up to 5 days. But they won’t make it that long.
